Mercedes
I have a law degree and I am in charge of the direction, management and administration of this school. Most of my professional career has been dedicated to the management of educational projects.
In 2014 I decided to make a personal and professional change in my life and I went to live to the United States of America for a while where, through a friend who is a Montessori guide, I came in contact with some schools that taught this method. I was so fascinated by this teaching methodology that, since then, all my steps have been looking for harmony between my vocation and my profession. Back in Spain I decided to deepen my knowledge of this philosophy of life and I trained as a Montessori Guide at Casa de Niños.
I started in this project as a volunteer and I fell in love with it so much that I decided to stay. It fascinates me to be able to see and feel every day how the children, through the work with the different materials, enjoy, learn and grow, developing a healthy and free personality. I am happy to be part of this precious project that pursues the integral development and self-education of the child in the prepared environment, guiding them towards independence and self-confidence.

I started working in the field of special education as an Early Childhood Intervention Technician in different educational centers and I was able to experience the importance of making learning accessible in a different way. It had to be manipulative, procedural and, above all, exciting for all children.
I have a degree in Pedagogy and I was trained as a Training Expert and working in permanent teacher training gave me the possibility to be in interesting projects of educational innovation while understanding the needs and difficulties in many educational centers to reach each student as an individual being and in a respectful way with their own characteristics, rhythms and interests.
Being a mother I felt a real and urgent need to help in the transformation of the educational paradigm. I became certified as a Montessori Guide and qualified as a Higher Technician in
Early Childhood Education and in 2017 I became involved as part of the educational team and management in this project that has become my second home.
After years, I never cease to be amazed by the powerful energy of the inner teacher in each child.

Lourdes
My journey as a Montessori guide began long before I could even imagine it.
I studied the Diploma in Tourism, specialized in protocol and event organization, worked in the tourism sector and then returned to the University this time to fulfill my desire to be a teacher, doing a degree in Primary Education.
It was there, at the university, where my dream was blurred, I could not find happiness in what was so desired for me because I observed that the education that was forming me as a teacher did not offer me the necessary tools to be the kind of educator I longed to be.
Looking for alternatives that could bring me closer to the figure of a teacher that would make me grow, I came across the Montessori methodology and as a puzzle piece that fits perfectly, I began to dream again and I did the Montessori Guide training at the University of Barcelona for the stage of 6-12 years (primary) that gave me the title of Master in this pedagogy and the Guide for the aforementioned stage.
Thus, I found the Montessori philosophy and after having worked in several schools with this pedagogy and with numerous children applying the teachings of Maria Montessori, I am still captivated by the idea of continuing to develop myself, now, as the guide I always wanted to be in this wonderful project. In 2019 I joined Educomontessori as a Workshop guide and since October 2021 I am also part of the direction of this project together with Mercedes and Conchi.

Before achieving my dream of becoming an AMI Montessori Guide at Casa de Niños, I first trained as a Pedagogue and later as a Special Education Teacher and Early Childhood Educator. Since I finished my degree in Educational Sciences, I have traveled a long road of professional search that has gone hand in hand with my own personal development. It has been a true path of transformation, which culminated with the adoption of Montessori pedagogy as a philosophy of life and an inexhaustible source of human and professional inspiration.
In recent years, I have been able to complete my professional background with key experiences in Montessori environments. From September 2016 to June 2018, I had the privilege of working as an assistant and Children’s House Guide in a school in the mountains of Madrid, together with an AMI Guide from India. In July 2018, I shaped a project with the Chinese community in Madrid and worked for a year on creating and maintaining the environments. Finally, in the summer of 2019 I approached the EducoMontessori International School project and it is here that I have found my place of professional and personal development.

Paula
I am Paula, an adult-girl who still looks at life with curiosity. Thanks to her, I am here at this point of the road.
My journey begins with my great passion: movement. I began my training in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences, specializing in the Master’s Degree in Teaching. It was then when it became clear to me that I wanted to dedicate myself to Education and, with the intention of expanding my field of knowledge, I did my training in Primary Education. While I was carrying out these studies, I realized that I needed to know more about the fundamentals of the different Alternative Pedagogies, in order to be able to extract from each one what would benefit the students the most. While I was studying a Master’s degree focused on them, it became clear to me that the philosophy that fit me the most was the one developed by Maria Montessori. This led me to Girona, to carry out my training to become an AMI Guide in the 6 to 12 years old stage.
At this point, perhaps the question arises as to the relationship between movement, Montessori Philosophy and this adult child. Although at my school stage I was perfectly capable of enduring the hours sitting at my desk and, waiting for each Physical Education class, “behaving” as I should, I love the possibility that this pedagogy offers to children at each stage, allowing them freedom of movement and choice of work, thus making learning much more meaningful.

My name is Elizabeth, but since I was a little girl my family started calling me Lisi, so it has become part of my personality. I was born in New Jersey, USA, but I grew up in Madrid since I was 5 years old. In 2012, I moved back to the United States with my husband to live in Austin, Texas. I worked at a public school as a Spanish teacher and language program coordinator for five years. During our time there, we had our two kids. In 2017 we moved back to Spain and I am very happy to be with my family now living in Seville and to have the opportunity to share my American culture with our students through a bilingual program that combines academics, through projects and other presentations, with the importance of generating interest and love for English through movement, conversations, songs, stories, games and art. I have a degree in Pedagogy and a master’s degree in Childhood needs and rights. I have traveled to many countries and collaborated as a volunteer in beautiful places like Guanajuato, Mexico, or in Malabo, Equatorial Guinea.

Lorena
My passion for education began in high school thanks to my philosophy and ethics teacher, who taught us in a very practical and interactive way. At that time, when I was 17 years old, I realized that I wanted to be a teacher.
I started my studies in “Early Childhood Education with mention in Special Education” in 2010 and decided to do part of my internship as a Spanish teacher in the “Saharawi Refugee Camps” in the Sahara Desert (Algeria). It was an incredible experience!
When I finished my studies I started working as an au pair in Ireland. I fell in love with the country and the culture, and stayed there for 4 years. During my stay there I had the opportunity to work as a classroom manager in a Montessori kindergarten and school. I returned to Spain and EducoMontessori offered me the possibility to work in this center as a bilingual assistant. Since then I have completed a Master’s degree in Montessori pedagogy and AMI training as a Children’s Houseassistant.

My name is Pedro. Since I was a child, I’ve been interested in life from different visions and perspectives. Now, that interest has become a desire to share and teach my experiences and knowledge.
I graduated in Musical Language, Composition, Harmony, and Piano from the Conservatory of Seville and Barcelona and in film directing from the Film School of Barcelona.
I have dedicated a great part of my life to teaching music in different schools in Seville. I am currently the director of the DaMTe Center for Performing Arts, where I teach music and tap dance to both children and adults. Composing music for audiovisual, television, film, and theatre has been my other great passion and dedication, which has broadened my artistic and creative vision of music and its influence.
Educomontessori has opened a door for me to teach music and everything that surrounds that world through workshops in which I am given the opportunity to transmit my knowledge and experiences. I feel that children can learn in an open and fluid way and enrich the activities with their vision, generating learning in all senses.

Elena
I’m Elena, a bee of “El Enjambre sin Reina,” an Education for Sustainability collective that works in the agroecological field in Seville and uses the garden as an educational tool for eco-social transformation as one of its main lines of work.
I started studying Environmental Sciences in Cordoba and ended up in Seville. It was there that I met a group of people with whom I shared class hours, hours in the cafe, and hours on the lawn. From there, we dreamed of transforming the world into a more habitable place for all the people who live in it.
While we were dreaming, we continued training and living enriching experiences, collectively completing the Environmental Education training and individually completing the Master’s and Doctorate in Social Sciences Applied to the Environment, participating in a research project in the Riotinto Mining Basin, or staying at a farm school in the city of Florence (Italy). Every one of these experiences fed my dream, our dream.
That dream finally came true one day when, in 2006, we got together and created a human group and working group, “El Enjambre sin Reina,” from which we began to do different research projects, awareness, participation, and action with various themes: organic school gardens, food, consumption, feminism, health, mobility, food sovereignty, etc.
Today, I am still constantly learning with this group of people without whom I would not be who I am today, nor would I do what I do today, nor would I be where I am today: playing, discovering, laughing, trusting, enjoying and learning with the children in the garden of the EducoMontessori educational project.
In this garden, we discover the processes and rhythms of nature day by day. We connect with our roots by touching the earth: sowing, transplanting, watering, and harvesting. We learn about the origin of our food, and which is the best season for each one. We solve the problems caused by snails, cabbage caterpillars, and aphids, elaborate natural mixtures, and make structures that facilitate the growth of plants. And so, through the care of the garden, we care for ourselves!
